The UGA Beef Team invites beef cattle producers, industry professionals, and students to a one-day educational program focused on current and relevant topics within the beef industry. This course combines interactive, hands-on experiences with lecture-style presentations to provide a comprehensive learning environment.

Participants will gain insights from UGA faculty on a variety of subjects, including market outlooks, media engagement in agriculture, and the influence of the fecal microbiome on feed efficiency in cattle. The program also features live demonstrations on heifer selection, finishing cattle management, and weed control strategies.

Hosted annually in conjunction with the UGA Beef Team Bull Sale, this year’s short course will be held on February 11, 2026, at the UGA Livestock Arena in Athens, Georgia.

Registration Begins at 8:30 AM and program begins at 9:00 AM

**3 Hours of Credit for Beef Quality Assurance Certification – Available to all Participants**
