UGArden at the University of Georgia is more than just a farm; it’s a thriving 10-acre teaching farm and a cherished community garden where students can learn to grow food organically, connect with the land and serve the broader Athens community.

In 2010, UGArden started as little more than a club of a few students passionate about the environment and sustainable agriculture. Since then, UGArden has donated more than 150,000 pounds of produce to food-insecure individuals and families in the community, served more than 4,000 students, hosted more than 15,000 tour participants, welcomed 7,000 local schoolchildren and engaged more than 8,000 volunteers who have contributed over 42,000 hours of service.
