Allison Perkins

Allison P. Perkins is a Senior Public Service Associate and 4-H Youth Development Agent with University of Georgia Cooperative Extension in Bartow County. Her work focuses on creating meaningful educational opportunities that help young people build confidence, leadership skills, agricultural knowledge, and connections to future careers. She develops and evaluates programs in agricultural and animal science education, positive youth development, leadership, workforce readiness, and Extension professional development.

Allison’s approach combines research-based education with practical, community-centered learning. She works closely with youth, educators, Extension professionals, volunteers, university faculty, and community partners to identify needs and develop programs that are relevant to the people they serve. Her work includes curriculum development, program evaluation, professional training, school partnerships, and hands-on learning experiences in areas such as equine science, poultry and egg science, veterinary science, agricultural literacy, STEM, leadership, and career exploration.

At the heart of Allison’s work is a commitment to helping people recognize their strengths and use them to make meaningful contributions to their communities. She views education and leadership as collaborative processes that empower youth and adults to learn from one another, solve problems, and create positive change.
