Shayla Salzman

About
Shayla Salzman received her B.S. from the University of California at Berkeley in Genetics and Plant Biology followed by a Ph.D. in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology from Harvard. Post Graduate, Dr. Salzman received a Post Doctoral Research Fellowship in Biology from the National Science Foundation to work at Cornell University where she was housed in both the Plant Sciences and the Neurobiology Departments. She joined the Entomology Department of the University of Georgia in 2023 as an Assistant Professor with a focus on species interactions and chemical ecology. She is also a Kelly Research Fellow at Montgomery Botanical Center.
