About

Apurba Barman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Entomology at the University of Georgia and is currently based in the Tifton Campus. He received his Ph.D. degree in entomology from Texas A&M University, where he conducted research on cotton insect pest management. With two Master’s degrees, one from Texas Tech University and another from Assam Agricultural University (India), Dr Barman has a breadth of experience across diverse cropping systems in the United States and abroad. In his current position, Dr. Barman assumes both research and Extension responsibilities for insect pest management in pecan and citrus production in Georgia.
