About

Research work encompasses the development and applications of precision systems engineering principles to tackle a broad spectrum of issues in food production and processing. Applied methods are data-driven and converge at the intersection of machine learning, chemometrics, physics-machine learning modeling, and optical sensing. Research focus areas are on smart pre- and post-harvest operations and include real-time adaptive control of unit processes, decision support systems, artificial intelligence, process analytical technology, systems operations optimization, digital twin technology, and system modeling.
