About

Manish Kumar is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Crop Virology Laboratory, University of Georgia, Tifton, United States. He earned his PhD in Life Sciences in 2022 from the Molecular Virology Laboratory, School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India. Before his doctoral work, he served as a Senior Research Fellow at the Insect Vector Laboratory, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi.

Dr Kumar has authored more than 20 research and review articles, 4 book chapters, and 3 research extension reports. He also contributes to the scientific community as a review editor for multiple peer‑reviewed journals, including those published by Springer and Frontiers.

His research interests center on the evolutionary dynamics of plant viruses and the complex interactions among hosts, vectors, and pathogens. His current work focuses on whitefly‑transmitted viruses affecting vegetable crops.
