About

Dr. Alexa Lamm is a Professor of Science Communication in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication at the University of Georgia. She is considered a leader in the field of social science research as it relates to understanding how communication and education impacts the acceptance and adoption of scientific innovations that advance agricultural production while maintaining a sustainable environment. Dr. Lamm has received over $75M in total contracts and grants and published over 250 peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. Lamm was named a Fellow of the American Association for Agricultural Education in 2023, received the 2020 Borlaug CAST Communication award, and was named a Fellow of the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education in 2018.
