About

My research interests are focused primarily on breeding and applied genomics research of cool season forage grasses and legumes. I work toward integrating conventional breeding methods with molecular technologies into the cultivar development process to develop improved cultivars that provide stable supplies of forages and contribute to the sustainability of production systems in Georgia and the South-East. Another area of research interest, in addition to the traditional forages-as-feed is the evaluation of perennial grasses as feedstocks and the development of germplasm with improved suitability for use as biofuel.
