About
Nina is a long-time environmental educator with experience in public service, intern and volunteer coordination, program development and management, grant acquisition, and the supervision of ongoing research projects. As Educator and Intern Coordinator with the University of Georgia Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant, Nina is responsible for implementing ecological-based educational programming to visitors ranging in age from pre-k to adult. She coordinates and supervises the Marine Education Fellowship program, mentoring and providing experience for year-long fellows who hope to continue careers in marine education. She also coordinates the intern program based out of the aquarium on Skidaway Island. It is Nina’s goal to provide experiential learning opportunities to community members, students, interns, volunteers, and people of all ages that will help foster a long-term stewardship for our natural world.
