About

My interest is in the area of educational development of plant pathology. I am particularly interested in the development of graduate students to take on teaching roles in the classroom and especially their teacher self-efficacy development. One major goal is to find a way to measure the self-efficacy development of graduate students in an effort to identify the training they should obtain while still graduate students if they are planning to enter into a teaching role in the future. I am very interested in the development of TA’s and how this impacts their future roles of educators.
I am also interested in the role of informal education that outreach plays in creating future educators from those that volunteer in outreach events.
