I am the peach entomologist (extension and research) for Georgia and South Carolina; both are national leaders in peach production. The University of Georgia-Clemson University peach entomology program focuses on development and implementation of cost-effective peach IPM systems that enhance food safety, worker safety and environmental stewardship. We have projects on borers, plum curculio, scale and phony peach disease vectors. Evaluation of low-risk insecticides is also a priority
