Your hotel is booked and your bags are packed, but if you don’t want bedbugs to ruin your travel plans this season, step one is knowing how and where to find them.
Dan Suiter, an urban entomologist with University of Georgia Cooperative Extension and the Orkin Distinguished Professor in Urban Entomology at UGA, and Ben Hottel, technical training lead with Rollins, walk through the process of checking for bedbugs. They discuss where to place your luggage upon checking in, where to look for bedbugs, signs of bedbugs, and what to do when you get home in case you brought bedbugs home with you.
While bedbugs are the last thing most of us want to think about when planning a trip or vacation, a few simple steps at the beginning and end of travel can prevent a complicated and expensive problem upon returning home.
