This afternoon session during the Turfgrass Research Field Day introduces Master Gardeners to practical irrigation principles for home landscapes, with a focus on efficient water use and system basics using Toro and Rain Bird technologies.

Participants will learn how proper irrigation practices influence plant health and can help prevent common turf diseases, including issues associated with Rhizoctonia solani. The session emphasizes simple, applicable strategies for maintaining healthy lawns and gardens in residential settings.
